Peterborough United Football Club are pleased to announce that the Lightyears will be performing live at London Road from 1.45pm including the Posh We Are re-make which is surging up the music charts.

The band completed their sound-check at London Road on Friday and weather permitting will do a set ahead of kick-off of their own material. Youngsters from the Voyager School will then join the band on the pitch to sing Posh We Are which is available to download through www.poshweare.co.uk.

Last year, The Lightyears played Glastonbury Festival, won BEST POP/ROCK ACT at the 2007 INDY Awards, appeared live on WXPN national radio in the USA to an audience of over 3 million and began recording with top producer Hugh Padgham (Sting & The Police, Genesis, Paul McCartney, David Bowie).

2008 kicked off with sell-out gigs at the Water Rats and The Troubadour and a nomination for this year's INDY Awards. The Lightyears were also selected as an XFM Featured Artist in early February and received primetime airplay on Steve Harris' show.

The band have recently played the Astoria 2 in London and have tour dates across the country planned, as well as a return to Asia in May and a busy festival schedule in the summer. More information is available at www.TheLightyears.com.
