Posh fans should be very proud of themselves- Norwich and Peterborough Building Society has presented a cheque for over £200,000 to the Club, thanks to fans saving in its POSH Account. This takes the total donated to PUFC since the Society's affinity account was launched to over £1million.

N&P launched its POSH Account back in 1999. The account pays a cash bonus to the Club each year, as well as offering additional benefits to fans. The cash sum that Peterborough United receives from the Society is equivalent to 1% of the average total balance held in the account during the previous 12 months. This year's payment of £205,248 takes the total paid to the Club since the account launched to a fantastic £1,052,684.

The money paid to the Posh this year will be used towards developing the club on and off the field. Nigel Smith (from N&P) will officially present the money to the Club at London Road before kick-off at the match against Rochdale on Saturday 5th May.

He said: 'Once again, I'm delighted to be presenting POSH with their annual sum, and it's even better that this year we've hit the £1million mark. It's a testament to the fans who have saved in their POSH accounts that we've reached this milestone figure, and I hope they continue to do so.'

Darragh MacAnthony, chairman of Peterborough United said: 'The support that the Norwich and Peterborough Building Society give Peterborough United is valuable and essential in helping to move the club forward. I would like to thank them for their fantastic support and look forward to developing the partnership over the coming years. We want them to help us rise through the leagues.'

The cheque presentation was made at the final league game of the season against Rochdale at London Road and was featured in the match day programme. You will be able to see features from the match day programme in the 'Features' section of the new-look Posh website, as well as fun profiles of the Posh squad.
