Despite an injury-interrupted campaign, Mackail-Smith still found the back of the net 19 times in the 2007-2008 season. His pace and power frightened League Two defences and he formed a partnership with Aaron Mclean that was the envy of most clubs outside of the top two divisions. The former Dagenham and Redbridge striker has an impressive goal to game ratio and often creates opportunities for others.
